Carp Fishing Safari France owns L’Etang Caché, a four acre ancient lake set deep in rural France. Being pre-Napoleonic, the lake has legal night fishing rights, and the carp just love to wake you at 3.00am.

The Charente region of France, famous for its cognacs and wines also provides superb river carp fishing. Last year we smashed our record there with a superb mirror of 40lb 10oz.

We love the idea of twin venue carping, lake and river. You get to see a bit of France and enjoy the challenge of different types of fishing, give it a go, and the great wine too.

We take up to four anglers, two rods each on the lake, three each on the river

The lake comes with cooking facilities, shower and toilet. We supply airport pickup and dropoff, and all your equipment except terminal tackle, headlights and sleeping bags.

There is limited night fishing on the river, so we bivvy up in the grounds of a riverside pub with a private shower and toilet block. The pub is a music venue, serves great grub, draught Guinness and it even has a pool table.
L’Etang Caché – ‘The Hidden Lake’ – is a superb four acre ancient lake on the borders of the Haute-Vienne and the Dordogne. Bought three years ago and drained, we introduced a stock of carp to 40lb. The river we fish is in the Charante region of France, about an hour and a half drive from the lake. Our record there stands at 40lb 10oz

We’re about an hour from Limoges airport – we pick up and drop you off
